How to improve your privacy online

Using the Internet, a person leaves a huge amount of information about themselves. And it would be nice to stop and look around: am I doing this all? An ordinary Internet user may have a deceptive impression of his own anonymity on the world wide web. So, the first thing to understand is that it is false! So how to improve your privacy online?


This workshop starts with the attendees analyzing their web fingerprint on https://amiunique.org/.

During the workshop, participants will learn to improve their online privacy through the following steps:

  • Turning off data third party collection
  • Turning off access to device sensors
  • Stopping session fingerprinting
  • Stopping network connection information leakage
  • Setting up a private web search
  • Setting up Push Notifications
  • Disabling redirection, etc.

Also, during the workshop, we will discuss the rules of behavior and basic hygiene on the Internet, and learn about 10 useful privacy plug-ins for Firefox. After these steps, participants will re-check their fingerprints on https://amiunique.org/ and will be able to understand and explain the difference.

As a result of this workshop, participants will improve their privacy on the web and learn how no teach others to have better privacy.
